Up here the questions are different. It is less often “will this well serve a house” and more often “will it carry a herd through August,” or “can it fill a lake,” or “what does the district need to hold pressure at the far end of the line.”
Flynn sizes for that. Wells in our service area produce anywhere from 1 to over 100 gallons per minute, and we prefer to see a well produce more than the desired pump rate so the system runs efficiently rather than pumping itself down. Livestock waterers, yard hydrants, long runs of new water line and irrigation supplies are routine work from this office.
