We are staffed with the largest service crews and fleet in the state of Missouri, so emergency service requests are attended within 24 hours. Customers with no water are given priority. Our technicians are certified through the Department of Natural Resources to service and maintain any water well in Missouri.

Common well problems — and what usually causes them
A pump that has stopped does not always mean a pump that has failed. Here is what our technicians check first.
Pump will not start
Incorrect power to controls, no power to the controls, power not getting through the pressure switch, or a damaged pump and motor.
Pump starts but will not stay running
Improper fuses, incorrect voltage, bad capacitors, a defective control box, damaged or bare cable in the well, or a damaged pump and motor.
Pump starts and stops frequently
A clogged pressure switch, a water-logged tank, improper tank size, an improper pressure switch setting, or a leak in the system.
Pump runs constantly
A check valve stuck in the system, a leak in the piping, restricted suction in the intake screen, or a damaged pump and motor.
Low water pressure
An obstruction in the piping, a leak in the piping, a clogged softener, clogged filters, improperly sized plumbing in the house, the well pumping down and running out of water, or a damaged pump and motor.

Choosing a system
Constant pressure vs. conventional
Constant pressure system
Pressure systems change the speed of the pump to meet demand for water. When demand increases, pump speed increases; when it decreases, the pump slows. The pump only runs as much as necessary to hold pressure throughout the home or yard, so smaller and lighter tanks can be used — even mounted off the floor, saving space.
Conventional system
Conventional systems run at a set pressure, typically 40 to 60 psi. The pump starts at 40 psi and runs until it reaches 60 psi, then shuts off. When you use multiple water sources at once — the shower and the washing machine — pressure drops quickly, causing the shower to sputter, the washer to fill slowly and flow to diminish.

Our manufacturers offer a five year warranty on pumps, motors and tanks, and Flynn Drilling adds a one year warranty on installation and labor.
